ODM® Fiber Optic Training & Certification Courses

An essential part of every successful fiber optic test technician is proper training. It is important to know the appropriate test procedures to maintain the functionality of our test equipment and avoid unnecessary damage. As a way of helping customers become acquainted with their test equipment, we offer expert fiber optic certification training. Our instructors provide all of the essential fiber optic knowledge through an interactive training session.

Full Certification Course

Our Full Certification Course is conducted by one of our ODM® technical support experts onsite or at our Ripley ODM facility. The objective of the training seminar is to provide technicians with a comprehensive knowledge of optical fibers and proper technical operations. The training seminar is then followed by a 20-question exam.

Topics include fiber optic theory, connector inspection standards and methods, fiber cleaning standards and methods, and test equipment standards and methods.

Our specialists are aware of the latest testing requirements for numerous wireless carrier builds and will outline the necessary procedures through hands-on discussion. Many wireless carriers and other telecom entities require proof of test equipment certification to be submitted along with closeout deliverables. Our course allows technicians to meet the requirement through training and discussion.

  • $2950 (Up to 10 Attendees) - $295 For Each Additional Attendee, Up to a Maximum of 18 Attendees

Online Re-Certification Exam

Our Online Re-Certification Exam is designed for technicians who have already taken our Full Certification Course and have an expired course certificate. Simply contact us and provide the name, company, and date of the previous certification to verify our records. Once verified, we will issue a link to the online re-certification exam.

Our instructors will follow up with a phone call to discuss the exam results and provide guidance if the exam must be taken again. Technicians should have their ODM® test equipment on hand during the phone call. To become re-certified, technicians must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of all items in their kit and outline their test procedures to our instructor.

Terms & Conditions

Certificates are valid for two years after the certification training session. Ripley  maintains a database of certified technicians for the QA groups of major wireless carriers. Ripley will only issue replacement certificates to the company or individual who initially paid for the training course.
